Seasonal occurrence of greater wax moth, Galleria mellonella, in Apis mellifera L. colonies

Abstract
In the current study, a seasonal occurrence of
Greater wax moth Galleria mellonella was found in Apis mellifera
colonies from May 2022- May 2025. The data showed that there was the occurrence
was maximum in September and then in the subsequent months the population of
wax moth increased rapidly till late July to September and minimum in November,
December, and January. The observations may be affected by changes in the
climatic conditions of the study location.
