Abstract
Locusts in the family Acrididae are primarily phytophagous and mobile, exhibit a range of phase polyphenism, and cause crop damage worldwide; however, shared phenotypes and high intraspecific variation in some species make taxonomy difficult. The comparative investigation is detailed with the taxonomic descriptions and the morphological illustrations provided, showing the complexities of its outer and genitalic features, useful for a visual diagnosis. Through this examination, we identified distinguishing marks. These detailed descriptions identified key diagnostic differences. By correlating in-depth taxonomic visualisations with unique environmental requirements, this framework establishes a reliable foundation for accurate species identification and habitat-specific pest management.
