The average incubation period of fruit fly Bactrocera zonata was recorded as 1.58 ± 0.43 days. The average total development period of maggot was 7.68 ± 0.74 days. The prepupal period was 19.45 ± 2.16 hours. Pupation took place in soil and average pupal period recorded as 8.16 ± 0.42 days. The total life period was found to be 53.05 to 61.35 days with an average of 57.53 ± 3.02 days in male and from 66.27 to 72.92 days with an average of 68.96 ± 2.57 days in female.
