Taxonomy of water fleas (Diplostraca: Branchiopoda: Arthropoda) from Mathura Beel, West Bengal, India

Abstract
Three Diplostracan (= Cladocera) Branchiopods
viz. Ceriodaphnia cornuta Sars, C. reticulata (Jurine) and
Daphnia lumholtzi Sars have been recorded from Mathura Beel for the
first time. Detailed systematic taxonomy of these water fleas including their
photographs and distributions is discussed herewith.
