The study site Indian Institute of Sugarcane Research
was chosen on the basis of their contrasting vegetation type and anthropogenic activities low. The survey has been carried out from 8 AM to 11 AM. During survey total
273 butterflies of 28 species belong to five families (Nymphalidae (13), Pieridae (5), Lycaenidae (5), Papilionidae (4) and Hesperiidae (1) recorded from the study site
